Does it help protect groups and channel comments from spam?
Yes. The bot helps reduce spam and violations, and the panel shows context when rules fire.
Is there a free way to start?
One small community can use the free slot. Additional communities and those above the free size limits use paid Shields. See the limits above and the full billing guide before connecting more groups.

Yes. Configure anti-flood and other protections per chat in the panel — the bot applies them once it has the right permissions.
How do I stop spam links in a Telegram group?
Add Wardy as an administrator and activate the group as its owner. In the panel, configure the link filter for Telegram links, external sites, app links and @mentions. Add trusted domains to the allowlist and decide whether the filter applies to moderators. Group owners are exempt.
Is there CAPTCHA for new Telegram chat members?
Yes, for regular groups. You can enable CAPTCHA, set the completion timeout and configure a welcome message. Channel discussion groups use comment protection without CAPTCHA.
Does it protect against raids and mass attacks?
The bot tracks join spikes and rapid messages. Set thresholds separately for each chat.
How do I add a moderation bot to my Telegram group?
Add @wardy_guard_bot, give it permission to delete messages and restrict members, then send /activate as the group owner. Sign in with Telegram to configure rules in the panel. An administrator who is not the owner cannot activate the group.
Can it moderate comments under Telegram channel posts?
Yes. Add Wardy to the discussion group linked to the channel, activate it as the owner and enable comment protection. The bot moderates discussion comments, not the original channel posts. CAPTCHA is not used in this mode.
How to connect protection
Add Wardy as a group administrator with permission to delete messages and restrict members.
As the group owner, send /activate in the group to connect it to the panel.
Configure rules. Enable the filters you need: links, media, flood, CAPTCHA, quiet hours, and notifications.
Stay in control. The bot checks messages; moderators see important events in the panel.
